Erin Dilly will star as Billie Bendix in the Gershwin tuner Nice Work If You Can Get It from July 15 through July 29, filling in for four-time Tony nominee Kelli O’Hara. O’Hara will take a leave of absence to star in the previously announced musical adaptation of Far From Heaven at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. O'Hara will return to Nice Work on July 31 at the Imperial Theatre.
Directed by Kathleen Marshall and featuring a store of classic George and Ira Gershwin songs and a book by Joe DiPietro, Nice Work If You Can Get It is the story of a 1920s bootlegger (O'Hara) who falls in love with wealthy playboy Jimmy Winter (Matthew Broderick) on the weekend of his wedding. Nice Work If You Can Get It includes classic songs like “Fascinating Rhythm,” “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off” and more.
Dilly’s Broadway credits include Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Follies, The Boys From Syracuse and Into the Woods. She appeared in the Encores! production of Babes in Arms and in national tours of South Pacific, Martin Guerre and Beauty and the Beast. Her film and TV credits include Julie and Julia, Too Big to Fail, Gossip Girl and Law & Order: SVU.
